Boss Hoss Cycles Prove to be the Baddest On and Off Screen
Featured in movies like “Hell Ride,” “The Final Destination,” and “Righteous Kill,” Boss Hoss Cycles have proved to be some of the baddest and most powerful bikes on the market.
Boss Hoss Cycles, Inc. was established in 1990 when Monte Warne created his first Chevy V-8 powered motorcycle in his 5,000 square foot shop in Dyersburg, Tennessee.
A commercial aircraft pilot and power plant technician, Warne was the first to design a V-8 powered motorcycle that has a traditional cruiser motorcycle style, look, and feel. This was done by designing a single speed, or one gear, transmission.
The right angle drive transmission allows the length of the bike to be kept to a minimum and the engine-mounting inline with the frame made for a well-balanced design that is unequaled by any other V-8 powered motorcycles.
During the last 25 years, Boss Hoss Cycles has grown to a 22,000 square foot manufacturing facility.
The product line has also grown from the conventional two-wheeled motorcycle to include three-wheeled vehicles, also known as trikes.
In January of 2006, Boss Hoss motorcycles and its manufacturing facility received a full vehicle type-approval from the European Commission, effectively making Boss Hoss Cycles, Inc. the only globally approved V8 motorcycle manufacturer.
At the release of the 2012 model trikes with 4L70E overdrive transmissions and air ride suspension as standard production, Boss Hoss introduced the new Boss Hoss Super Sports model. The Super Sport is the first new model design by Boss Hoss since the release of the 502 model in 2000.
At the annual Specialty Equipment Market Association, (SEMA), trade show in Las Vegas early this month, BluePrint Engines displayed a Boss Hoss motorcycle powered by a BluePrint Engine.
The jet black cycle was even driven around the floor as shown on the BluePrint Engines Facebook page.
The 2017 SEMA Show drew more than 70,000 domestic and international buyers and visitors. The displays were segmented into 12 sections, and a New Products Showcase featured nearly 3,000 newly introduced parts, tools, and components.
The annual SEMA Show provides attendees with educational seminars, product demonstrations, special events, and networking opportunities. The 2018 SEMA show will take place in Las Vegas from Oct. 30 - Nov. 2. More dates and details can be found on the SEMA website.
