The 1955 Chevy 210: Offering Balance and Nostalgia

The Chevrolet Two-Ten, or 210, was the mid-range, Chevrolet model from 1953 to 1957.

It took its name from shortening the production series number, 2100, by one digit in order to capitalize on the 1950s trend of using numerical auto names. The 210 was discontinued after the 1957 model year and was replaced by the Biscayne.

The 210 was actually the best-selling Chevrolet model from 1953 to 1954 and offered a balance of style and luxury that was more affordable than other Chevy models.

Today, the Bel Air series of Chevrolets from 1953 to 1957 are the most desirable models for collectors. However, 1953 Chevrolet convertibles are very rare.

We were recently sent a picture of a 1955 Chevrolet 210 that was given a second life thanks to a 355 BluePrint Engine.

Mike’s wife, Denise, received this car on her 15th birthday from her father and the couple kept it all of these years. Mike wrote that it took two and a half years to completely restore the 1955. He and his best friend did all of the work themselves except for the upholstery. Mike and Denise plan on buying another BluePrint Engine for their 1965 Chevelle SS – and we can’t wait to see more pictures!
